Hey all, I know it’s been a bit quiet lately so I thought a brief update in order.
What a fun few weeks it has been! I’ve finally released my novel Colonisation into the wild which is really exciting! I’m looking forward to seeing if I get some reviews soon that’ll help me out in the future. I’ve sold a few copies thus far; I’m still trying to perfect using Twitter as a marketing tool, but I’ve friends who’ve been wonderfully helpful across the whole project so we’ll see how that goes. You can head on over to Colonisation’s project page and find purchase links here!
I’ve a few blogpost ideas to whittle out over the next week or so. I wanna focus on a love-hate relationship I’m currently in with Doctor Who. My fandom there is feeling rather strained and fraught so those’ll be interesting blog posts to say the least if you’re a long term fan.
I pledged at the start of the year to keep politics broadly off this blog, but I will post some thoughts I’ve had in the wake of the death of Margaret Thatcher.
Recently (thanks to my good friend Jake) I’ve been playing a crud-ton of sci-fi computer game Mass Effect and I’m loving it! I’m really finding myself impressed with the depth of story there and how my actions affect the rich universe therein, so I’ll probably sum up my reflections once I complete the game (and before I move onto Mass Effect 2, which going by ME1 will be almost immediately).
In terms of fiction writing, my itch has gotten the better of me once again; I’ve plotted and am about to commence work on a new short story that will form part of my upcoming Rememories collection: a grisly tale set aboard a waste disposal station in space whose workforce is comprised entirely of clones… got some interesting new ideas to explore and, if you’ll forgive the pun, flesh out! Remember, you can find easy links to all my short stories here.
That’s all for now folks, hope to write again soon.
